If those are the buses being retired, they're practically antiques--just twelve years old, really? With electric vehicles, of course, we have to ask how the power is generated at the source in order to claim cleanliness for them. Still, they're a lot quieter than diesel, and if the area is serious about saving money they'll need to install rail transit lines--more expensive up front, cheaper in the long term and it drives development.

I have had the pleasure of driving BBC 189, now preserved at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft in the UK, a pleasure to drive. I have only one question, why? Your loss is our gain.

Yes, the lines at Jasper Place are down, they there down for a few weeks now. Other places where they are down is Westwood garage, Downtown (south of Jasper ave on 101st), 102ave between 124st and 130st. These lines were pulled down just recently.

What is wrong with the Edmonton government? They will be vilified in the future if they go ahead with that plan.

For them, it's all about saving money and not about the environment. It's not too late to save the trolleys, write to the city of Edmonton and tell them scraping the trolleys is wrong and should be stopped, the system is not gone yet.
