  • I just wanna jump into a time machine the '70's , and NEVER EVER COME BACK. Zep,Frampton,Nugent,Heart,Jethro Tull, Kansas, Genesis, Pink Floyd , zz top, Eagles , Skynyrd, Neil Young, Clapton .. and so many others just PURE and TALENTED musicians on stage, not the manufactured synythesized Crap they peddle to us today.

  • He really love guitars with three pickups.

I really like Peter Framptons playing style but it´s a little sad that he is so underrated as a guitar player I mean he did a great job in Humble pie and Fingerprints is just brilliant.

  • a shame that Frampton keeps blocking this fantastic drummer!

  • REAL MUSIC

  • @notfragile33 His later stuff is far superior than his FCA era. Saw him on the 35th anniversary Tour of the album. First part of the show entirely the whole album (acceptable for the nostalgia factor) Second part consisting of more recent works (SUPERB)

  • you can see all the confidence and spirit that translated into Alive. I bought this album and KNEW it was great stuff.....never knowing that the Alive album would transend him to something TOO big for anyone. Same thing happened to Cheap Trick for their live album in Japan.

  • great show 25bucks lastnight at the oregon zoo :0)

  • Saw Frampton for the 1st time 2 months before this clip...July 17th, 1975 at the Casino Arena, Asbury Park, NJ. He was opening act for Joe Walsh. I was a 16 year old and I was totally blown away. Frampton tore the roof off the joint as I watched from 1st row center. It cames as no surprise to me that one year later (on the strength of Frampton Comes Alive), he hit the stratosphere. For an encore, both he and Joe Walsh jammed out on Jumping Jack Flash. Saw him live recently and he's STILL great.

  • @borntorun1970 But I agree that much of Framptons work, like this song, tends to be a lot more melodic, & less restricted to blues riffs. I just DON'T respect the fact that you're attacking, in such a DISRESPECTFUL way, someone who was a legend/pioneer (whether YOU like it or not- there MUST be a reason Cream/Blind Faith had such huge followings), was addicted to heroin & tortured by abandonment demons (related to his mother), & was probably (understandably) overwhelmed by fame-& humble about it

  • @borntorun1970 Here are my theories (b/c you're pissing me off). Either A) Your father loves Clapton, & you don't get along w/him so take it out on Eric, B) You're a musician yourself, unsuccessful & completely unknown (& bitter about it), and/or C) You STILL haven't learned that MUSIC IS NOT A COMPETITION, it's about EXPRESSION! After having "CLAPTON IS GOD" written on walls, etc, maybe he needed a BREAK from the limelight & GOT OVER HIMSELF!! I LOVE his 70s work-great albums eg 461 Ocean Blvd!

  • @borntorun1970 You're not entirely wrong, but the REAL question is why you feel a need to put him down?! A) He's an excellent songwriter in a variety of styles, B) In his early day he was a guitar pioneer who contributed permanently to rock history/development, C) He has one of the best voices of any "Rock God" of the past 40 years, D) He contributed GREATLY to others artists' music (Harrison/Starr/many others), E)Endured heroin addiction/personal tragedy/being called "God". What's your PROBLEM?

  • what did he use for amps, tone is amazing on every song. I know he play's well and has nice gibby's but his amp's sound so good
