His uncle, the late, Gospel artist, O'Landa Draper was performing at the festival and turned and put the microphone in Slim's hand. The audience was wowed by the young man's impromptu performance...and the rest, as they say is history.
In the years that followed, he has performed in and won numerous free style contests, including winning the prestigious Ruff Ryders national free style contest in 2004. He debuted his first solo project, Choices and Consequences in 2005, and is currently working on his second project, entitled, The Alternative.
