@ELSwellness how many reps should one do if you just start up with planks and how long should each set be? I have done some work with sit ups and leg raises but want to get more core strength by using planks. thanks a lot!

@Th3Tunn3ttu If it's something that actually hurts, see your doctor. If you're talking about the normal rise in size due to physical exertion, that's normal. When you exert yourself, and you're lean, your veins appear larger (because they are). Have you ever seen this happen on other people? Is that what's happening? Otherwise, if it's something medical, that's beyond my scope.

@ELSwellness Ermm..Like... The blood somehow can't flow forward like it should (in my arm I put on the ground). Did this help? lol
At what point would you consider you a 'failing' a plank and should rest? Often I'll sag or begin to shake/tremor/twitch if I go for too long, at that point should I stop and consider one 'set' done?

@MaxMetal1993 If you feel your low back start to sag, then it's time to stop. Shaking/trembling is one thing that should be paid attention to, but when form starts to suffer, it's time to stop.

@luisgarza92 First, congratulations on losing weight! That's awesome! It's kind of hard to give you a straightforward and honest answer without seeing you and knowing more about you - it could be loose skin due to drastic weight loss or having held on to extra weight for a long period of time, or it could just be some extra "flabby fat" that still has to be lost. If that's the case, spend more time on resistance training and make sure your diet gets you enough protein and healthy fats.
