Living in Salinas, CA, this Maya man talks about how Mayas hunted about 50 years ago. The language is Yucatec Maya He mentions going out into the woods and the type of game they hunted. The word "ts'oon" means rifle or gun, so he is obviously talking about recent times. He then slips into talking about the four cardinal points or directions: North, East, West, South and their Mayan names.
"Where the sun exits" = La'kin (the east);
"The Mouth of the Sun" or "Where the sun hides" = chik'in (the west);
Xamaan = the north, northwind;
Nojool = the south
