I just RANDOMLY got a vertical white line down both left and right side of the screens of a 32" LCD Samsung tv. It has been fine forever...and all of a sudden there are white lines going all the way down to the bottom.
On top of that, when playing Xbox 360, if I move the screen around too fast (which should NEVER be a problem, just by using the analog stick to MOVE the damn character around), it somehow managed to cause the white lines to look smokey and spread, then go away, then spread again.

I just got a call from Samsung executive customer relation about my DLP HL61A750A1FXZA with white dots on the screen, and he said that even this problem have been fixed in other DLP TV because they are considered defective, in the case of my TV model is not considered defective but wear and tear. So I think they need to get enough complaints of junks TV for my model to decide it is a defect and Samsung is going to repair at no cost? What a bunch of Crap...Never Again buy a Samsung TV....!

When I called them I just mentioned the recall repair number and they repaired my Grandmother's Samsung for free.
(she had the white dots)

@justice2576 I've contacted our local news troubleshooter and she is working on the case for me. If there is the possibility of tarnishing their reputation on national TV they might reconsider their choices! They told me no..

Thanks for posting this, one more person who will never buy a samsung product again AND will actively let people know that samsung is not standing behind their product.

Hey Josh you and the people at Samsung need to own up to the fact that your televisions have a recall! In 2005 I bought a new car and in 2010 (Well out of warranty) they called me and said there is a known recall on my vehicle and they would be fixing it free of charge. You know what that did? It gave me peace of mind and confidence in that company. I sadly cannot say the same of Samsung. I will never ever buy a Samsung product again after the way I have been treated and disregarded!Discraceful

@bathwaterfilms ya, no problem even though thousands of people with samsung dlp tvs are having the same problem >.>

@hpremus13 All DLP tv's have this problem.

We had the same problem with our Samsung slowly white dots were appearing, kinda like a disease. I guess luckily for us, we purchased our Tv at Best Buy and bought their insurance. So we had the problem fixed free of charge. Now the bulb blew, but at least I can get that fixed free too, just a pain in the butt. Samsung knows damn well it is a product defect, that is their fault and they should be replacing all units regardless of the warranty period.

Well, I have same issue with Samsung tv. I called their service support and at first they promised to fix it for free if the chip is defective. They DID ADMIT the fact that their chip was defective. Day before the appointment, they called me and said that it is not going to be free at all, regardless of the defect. The warranty was expired. And they asked me if I still wanted them to come over and fix the tv. After some argument i gave up. I got mad and canceled the appointment. What an idiots
I am sorry but I had to chop my response and now you have to read it starting from the bottom where it says: "This is really amazing..." and work your way up until you read: "White Spots Plague"
GOOD LUCK !
