Mr. Trumka formerly served as president of the United Mine Workers of America.

UPDATE: On September 16, 2009 Mr. Trumka was elected to be the President of the AFL-CIO, the national labor federation. He made history when two women joined his team: Liz Shuler, former executive assistant to the Electrical Workers (IBEW) President, was elected as the Secretary-Treasurer, and AFL-CIO Executive Vice President Arlene Holt Baker, was elected to continue on that position.
UPDATE: On February 6, 2009 Mr. Trumka was appointed to The White House Economic Recovery Advisory Board, to be chaired by former Federal Reserve chairman Paul A. Volcker.

Wow, name calling. You are obviously not very smart.
How about you try counter-arguments first. But by the looks of it, and the track record of Obama, you don't have any.
A lot of people voted for Obama out of sheer racist motives.
People do it all the time, so don't back away from it now it has been made so apparent.
It's also in the DNA of his followers: they just can't shut up about racism.
They see it around every corner, under their bed. Worse than conspiracy nut jobs.

Glad times they really have changed. Dyer Lum, the personal secretary to Samuel Gompers, President of AFL, was an extreme racist . Lum, whose path Lucy Parsons routinely crossed in the course of various labor organizing efforts, once commented on the news of a Southern black man who had been burned at the stake,"I would have carried wood myself if I had been there. To shoot him would only have made a county sensation. Burning him made the flesh of every n***r brute in the South to creep."
