Temptation Eyes - a Grass Roots / Rob Grill tribute cover (R.I.P.)

Los Angeles voice actor and impressionist Jeff McNeal with my first-ever tribute to The Grass Roots and the vocals of lead singer Rob Grill. UPDATE: Very sad to hear that Rob Grill passed away, the morning of July 11, 2011 in the hospital after suffering two strokes, following a fall a couple of weeks prior. He was 67 years old and was said by his wife to have passed away while listening to one of his old hits "Let's Live For Today". I had the pleasure of meeting Rob and introducing him as the emcee at a concert in San Bernardino around 1981. He was a very nice man. R.I.P. Rob. We are all saddened by your loss.

I've been a fan of The Grass Roots for 40t years. I usually don't even listen to covers but for some reason I did yours. You do a very nice job. I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks for posting and you couldn't have chosen a finer band to cover. Thanks again, Rhonda

@ran6658 Thank you. I too have been a fan of GR for as long as they've existed as a band. I did my best to replicate Rob Grill's amazing vocals. I can see some areas that need improvement, but as an impressionist, that's my goal on these tributes from the onset. So glad that you were pleasantly surprised.

great job jeff ! i've been a grass roots fan since 1968, i was 10, that was the first time i heard midnight confessions. i met rob a couple of times in az. at concerts, what a gentleman he was! i'll never forget it. i still can't believe he's gone. i did'nt hear a single word on tv or radio on his passing, i find it very sad that if you were'nt a drug addict or a pedaphile, we don't hear anything about it, i guess that's what our society has come to. god bless you rob, i'll never forget you!
