One of the best swimmining holes in Arkansas, Charlton Springs is 10 miles west of Hot Springs, AR. It's like being at Austin Texas Barton Springs 50 years ago.
thanks for posting ,your first visit? we used to call it camp charlton.where you're sitting was a stone platform (WPA built,like you said) my daddy threw me off it summer of '61 taught me to swim, at least dogpaddle! those concrete retaining walls aren't familiar, but the stone dam and spillway certainly are..any footage of the spillway? wondering if it still looks the same covered in moss - wet and squishy - float watermelons to cool them and try to stay on top of them..memories!!
