Lest we be accused of misrepresenting their views, actual Libertarians have been kicking around this take on Somalia with a straight face for some time now. No shit: http://mises.org/story/2066
A more nuanced completely insane view is that Somalia has been awesome-ized by Anarchism, not Libertarianism. http://www.reason.com/blog/show/11751....
Fair 'nuff, but as far as we can tell the difference between a Libertarian and an Anarchist usually seems to be a bachelor's degree.
So, it's fun to see folks like Glenn Beck eagerly veering into freaky yee-hah populist Libertarian zone. Go for it, guys. That's rebuilding the ol' brand.

A couple notes on music:
1. The music used in this video isn't Somali, or even close to it. It was, however, free to use. Gotta like that.
2. It's easy to hate on Ted Nugent for participating in Fox News Tea Party promotions, but in all sincerity: "Wango Tango" is a badass song, and it's hard to argue with his solo on "Stranglehold." Ted, we'll still gladly pay to see you at whatever State Fair you're playing next.

As a libertarian myself, this video is pretty funny. I enjoyed the made up bullshit.

All of singapores healthcare and ss systems are similar to germanys. None of it is socialized. It is all based on compulsory savings and spending-- you spend your money on it out of your own pocket, the lowest 1% get free service but they pay it back as soon as their income mobilizes.
Germany also has the smallest (real) welfare state in Europe (all european countries count all social spending as welfare, the US only counts welfare spending as welfare-- IE it discounts SS and healthcare).

Its not central planning. Central planning is where the economy is managed by the state. Its certainly not socialism either. It is "regulation" but to such a low extent that it would not matter. And unlike obamacare, its not socialized. Healthcare in singapore is mandatory, the same way eating is here. Eating being not killing yourself.

So in your version of a "free market" there are no private property rights cause its an anarchy?
Union workers can storm your shit and take it over and kill you?
Is that what you mean?

"Singapore is a 10% tax, no welfare, laissez faire free market.."
~and they are surrounded by unfree Malaysia.
Besides, you can't have a nation state and a free market... the world has never truly seen free markets before... stateless societies and free markets have never truly existed yet... just too many unethical people like you forcing others into your violent monopolies/governments.
"government making it mandatory"
~Terrorism... backed by violence on peaceful people who simply disagree.

"the government makes sure you spend it on certain things."
~That is central planning, not free markets. lol Health care is the top regulated industry in the US... and because of government oligopolization, their state corporate friends are raking in big bucks off your ignorance... stop using violence monopolies on us peaceful people... take your war on drugs and brown people with you...

>> Its like the government making it mandatory for you to buy water but you get to choose where to buy it from, and the government wont give you any money for the water either.
>> The money is handled privately, the government makes sure you spend it on certain things.
The bottom 1% are usually given free service by private insurances I was actually wrong about that, nobody gets free service in singapore from the government.
Singapore is a 10% tax, no welfare, laissez faire free market..

"None of it is socialized. It is all based on compulsory savings and spending"
~How can something be central planned, and not central planned? Who collects the money? Who gives free services to the bottom 1% and who do they pay back with income mobilization? Sounds like it would be central planners... it doesn't sound private like you have a choice (since it is compulsory). What happens if you don't do what they say? Sounds like socialism/management of the economy/central planning to me...

Semantics much? Germany and Singapore have mandatory government healthcare. Yes, the Germans are technically multi-payer, with private sick funds, but even France and Italy have similar things.
I can't claim to be very familiar with Singapore, but fortunately wikipedia exists. Because now I can educate you, by saying Singapore has universal coverage mandated by the ministry of health.
I know you mentioned the no free care thing, but that is a fail-safe to make sure no exploits the system.
