Pixel Mirror is an online installation that reflects the invisible urban heartbeat which plays a vital role in contemporary communications. Specifically, the installation reflects, in real time, the flow of data circulating on the city network. Thus, this data stream is transformed into a dynamic abstract painting, a huge panel that changes depending on the websites being visited by Madrid's citizens. The photos and drawings of the sites visited by people are analyzed as pure data, by color code, and the installation also uses the webcams of the Telefónica Building itself, turning the movements of the citizenry into data and colors. Artur Punte, Aleksandr Jakovlev and Voldemar Punte are the creators of Pixel Mirror. The three are members of Orbita, a group of artists from various disciplines such as design, programming or multimedia who create spaces where poetry and multimedia design are blended.
