According to Amazon reviews, the red paint comes off and gets in your food, plastic on the locking mechanism melts, and sometimes the locking fails to hold, leading to you dumping your spaghetti in the sink, which this pot is supposed to PREVENT!

I wouldn't be surprised if somebody forgot to lock the lid on this thing, since they can't even operate a strainer. Or if you're older and can't hold a strainer while pouring out the water from the pot, I've seen strainers with "feet" on them so you can just put it in sink.

I mean, god damn, I'm pretty misanthropic but this commercial makes me look like a hippie with its "you're-so-fucking-incompetent­-you-can't-even-drain-pasta-pr­operly" attitude.

This ad came out when I was 15. Even then I laughed at how stupid the lady is to pour all the freaking pasta in the sink. I'm the biggest klutz who ever lived and I can still operate a colander without spilling ANYthing.

Also, I love the hyperbole of the family having "hunger pangs".
