@severedtesticles I did too. I miss them as well. I live for summer vacations... on the sun porch with a book in the evenings.

The sound of crickets, cicadas, and katydids is one reason summer is my favorite season.
Oh, and the flash of fireflies, too.

Finally! I know what is in our trees at night. I live in Wisconsin and we have a fairly wooded yard filled with these things!

I also find it weird people like the sounds. They are so loud! Not subtle and calming to me. But then again I grew up in California. I'm still trying to get used to cicadas and katydids.

I grew up in NJ and would fall asleep every night during the summer to the sound of these bugs.
