We applied TC Black Fusion to the side panels of a newer Chevrolet Avalanche to address the faded and tiger striped plastic. The end result was great. Technician's Choice Black Fusion was created to address the issues concerning fading, chalky, discolored vehicle exterior trim pieces. Pieces like fender flares, bumper, step bumper, bed liner (scratched, weathered and stained), tonneau cover, RV trim, car carrier, or any exposed faded plastic, vinyl or rubber. TC Black Fusion cures at room temperature in approximately 90 minutes. Great for the restoration of faded plastic, vinyl, polystyrene rubber and polyvinyl chloride. Lasts up to one year and protects against acid rain, sun damage, chalking and detergents. Easy to apply last up to 1 year VOC complaint.

  • How much product do you need to treat a Avalanche?

  • @MegaGrayt TC Black Fusion comes in a 2 oz container which goes a long way and will treat the cargo panels and cargo area, side mirrors, running boards, the lower tailgate piece, front and rear bumpers, the side moldings, and the windshield cowling with no problem. 2007 and newer Avalanches will only require one bottle. 2006 and older, depends on if your Avalanche has the full lower plastic wrap, which will require two bottles.

  • How is this any different than using a armorall type, product? Does it try or is it oily? Does it harm painted surfaces?

  • @Lherrerajr Armorall is a temporary fix to a problem that will return after a few showers or one car wash. TC Black Fusion is a longer term fix. It treats the damaged plastic and provides a finish that will last up to and beyond one year. It does not leave an oily finish and will not attract dust or dirt. If TC Black Fusion comes into contact with a painted surface, simple clean it off with glass cleaner before it dries or it will damage the paint or make it very hard to remove it.
