www.BrandonHardy-Art.com -- ** I realize on some computers the head doesn't seem to disappear entirely (which was the problem with the original figure). All I can say is that on my screen and in real life it goes away for good leaving the hat alone, awaiting the heads return. Film is a tricky medium and can only capture so much.
My working Hatbox Ghost Replica from Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. I put up a video almost a year ago of him and his Bride. Now he works (though the motor controlling his shaking hand was down when I filmed this . . . ). He's full size and as close to the original as my budget and research allowed.
Audio Track is not my own, it is from The Haunted Mansion Unauthorized 36th Anniversary CD set.
I never understood why Disney wasn't able to pull this off. Nice work. :)

Didn't know if you'd be interested, but my brother and I have been pondering improvements that could have been made to HB and we came up with this thought: What if The head and hair of the head on the shoulders was sprayed a solid-flat black, as dark and with little reflection as possible, and then the hair and skeletal features repainted with CLEAR black light florescent paint? Also making sure the collar is of the same paint job. If it worked for Topo Gigio, it could work for HB...

I can send you the full-length, one-minute heartbeat track if you'd like. I only included the short clip in HM36 because from a listening standpoint, it's just repetitious. - GG
