Just thinking how old Winehouse is, and I think to myself, I am a few decades older than she is and yet, I feel almost proud of myself when I see someone so broken, its as if I am ok when I see someone else's self destruction. Its probably the total appeal of the star myth in fact.. live fast, die young and show the world exactly how fucked up you are!

I would read Britney's book!

I guess its like this, woman, as a general rule, its hard to be direct, there is a feedback system to be modest and do your job well, but at the same time, not to ring your own bell.. I mean if you are Britney Spears or something, what would a bio like hers look like? Then take an artist.. completely different vibe. Do we often, I mean we, as in women tend to be more of a "see me" but don't try to get my inner world? I worry about that because most of what I personally do best is innerworld.

I think to write a bio, you need to read a lot of good ones like Growing Up By Russell Baker, Running with Scissors, This Boy's Life, etc.

It's possible girls write good bios, but I have never read one.
