  • Indeed, J. Demessieux played in high heels. And so did/do virtually all female French organists of that generation: M-M. Duruflé-Chevalier, M-C. Alain, M-L. Girod, R. Falcinelli, etc. But surely, carol9820 can tell us more about all those unreal organists.

  • Well, Jeanne Demisseux playing the organ pedals in high heels when she was an organist. So maybe she likes playing the pedals in heels.

  • @carol9820 - I refer you to chwidder's reply to you, and might also remind you that, in Baroque repertoire, you NEVER use heels!

  • Spike heels and underwear without a blouse? Unusual...

  • A real organist doesnt play the pedals in high heels. You need to kick them off so you can feel the pedals under your feet and be able to use your heels.
