Yum! Group briefed Maximum Shanghai to create a recruitment video for the campus talk. Somehow the content is not aroused and it's filled by facts and figures. Nowadays the young generation in China is surrounded by entertained and interested contents. We will fail to engage the target audience if we could not catch their eyeballs in the first three seconds. Chinese young people are also willing to learn the information from the Internet. So Maximum Shanghai decided to make a web version stop-motion movie, it's very unusual to see stop-motion movie in the recruitment communication.
Shooting a stop motion movie by our own crew is a milestone in the company, it truly shows the creativity, capability and commitment of the team. We made a very detail shooting plan including the material of the background, because we were going to shoot a lot of food, there are always stubborn oil stains on the background, but the polished black board is always easily reflect the lights. We eventually solved the problem and got good result. The color combination of the food was extremely important; it needs to be well designed, you can never use different brightness color or different hue color; these are all the facts that affect the camera exposure. Shooting was also a process of solving the problems, we could learn a lot from the shooting. It sounds difficult for us to shoot a stop-motion movie, but we can share the secret of shooting a beautiful stop-motion movie: Passion! Hummm...It's Yummy!
