Brad Beaton plays the bagpipes as a duet with the church organ playing "Love Devine" (Hyferdol), "Highland Cathedral", and "Amazing Grace" in wedding processional for the seating of the mothers and grandmothers.

  • Unlike the traditional bagpipe version of Amazing Grace, which at times does not match the singing melody, this version of the melody is intended to match the singing version of Amazing Grace that also matches the organ version. We'd both need to be playing the same version of the same lovely song. ;-)

  • I thought the tune started in 3:30 (Amazing Grace, but I'm not sure) is played during funerals, not weddings.

  • The playing of Amazing Grace at this wedding is discussed in great detail in the early posts, but the short answer is the old adage, "He who pays the piper calls the tunes!"
