After I posted this, I discussed the episode with my mom (we always chat after the shows), and she came from her mom point of view that he may have acted out because he was upset, misses his mother, and just let his emotions get the best of him. Do I give him a pass now? No, but I could understand if that was what was behind his behavior. I'm not classifying it as "that's how rappers are" as one person below mentioned. My video was my initial reaction to HIS attitude in that moment.

You are saying he is gay because he is speaking the truth. The majority of American's will vote against this ingrate tonight, he is not authentic at all people. Bow Wow and Romeo was younger than him when they first started. The Judges really did not tell it like it is, they sugar coated his shit too me. Thanks for your commentary. Astro's brain is not developed yet and emotional intelligence of a entitled 15 yr old w/a bad attitude is very compromised. The boy needs to be more humble and deal with the ups and the lows of his life in a manner that allows for critical thinking and growth. A good mentor (parents) can help him with that, but I guess people allow him to run his mouth in a disrespectful manner thus sending the wrong message. The boy is being rewarded for bad behavior.

Did you consider that he is a young man in a lot of pain? Obviously there is a lot to learn, but how many teenagers do you know that accept criticism well? add in on television when their dreams may soon come to an end. LA and Simon have encouraged his cockiness and swagger rather than talking to him about the downside of it. He deserves a second chance. But it's hard to quickly overcome something like this. I think Melanie is still suffering from Simons rejection.

Although I believe another contestant will ultimately win this competition, I rooted for Astro too, such talent he has. Last night display was the best "reality " televsion I watched in a long time....it exposed some of whats really inside of this kid. He should take a page from handbook from all those who walked the entertainment path before him and experienced rejection..100 people in the audience- 90 are jeering, 10 are cheering...you come out, give it all you got for the ENTIRE audience.

unfortunately on twitter about 4 hrs after the show he was still quoting about performing 4 those that want him.so we'll see.He will kick himself later if he blows this opp .in todays youtube world these some contestant think they are stars already and they hadnt earned anything or paid dues, Astro got caught up. Once again he is young and hopefully this young prince can humble himself grow a thick skin and not just rap confidently but live it. .. Ps Simon got respect from me last night

stand he is young and needs more acceptance than even he thought. THe thing is He probab had sympathy when it was anounce he was in the bottom 2 so if he had played it straight , he would have been saved anyways by the judges WITH PRAISE and APPAUL for him being voted that low , then nextr week he would of had votes in droves. But now he has alienated alot of folk including his supporters. -L.A. needs to talk to him get him to apologize.

Very Good Explanation, What dissapointed me most what that of all the great characteristics Astro exhibited you would think in the mix he would have learned how to be Humble... Look, Astro's "talent" is dubious. Like most hip-hop artists, the rhymes are no more complex than a 5th grader could concoct and memorize. Which really, is all rap has ever been, memorized poetry at the lowest common denominator level. Doesn't mean I don't like it...'cause I really do. But the "talent" aspect of it---let's be honest, ANYONE who can speak and memorize verses can do it. And the writing isn't exactly Shakespereian is it! Astro is a brat, who's been an indulged novelty act.

I Second that, its a singing show why didnt astro go on AGT if he is that good at rapping. I hate rapp. they all have bad attitudes as i see it. Astro has always been to cocky, remember pride comes before a fall.
