  • Real good music & nostalgic video. Thanks 5*****

  • I like it. But it will be mid July before I can do anything about it.

  • Jeez, I am glad you like it...... Much credit must go to those who took the photos, and the musicians.

  • Pictures in the slideshow came from the Facebook Group "Abandoned Communities". I did not use them all, but I do not recall seeing one of Sandy Cove. THAT is likely why you do not see it in the youtube slideshow.

  • where was sandy point?

  • I am not sure if you are being sarcastic or asking a legitimate question. I'll assume the latter. Google tells me "Sandy Point, situated in Bay St. George,". If you google "sandy point resettlement", you will find a lot more.

  • Thank you - Lovely slide show....love to also see pics of Jersey Harbour, Little Bay West, Miller's Passage, Muddy Hole, Mercer's Cove/Brunette etc. (Fortune Bay)

  • Hello Egrandy, great video tribute to some of Newfoundland’s disappearing communities. This video would be great for the Canada’s Got Treasures collection, which aims to feature Canadian videos of personal or cultural significance. Help celebrate Canadian diversity by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure) and submitting your video. It would be made available on our channel and website.
