Most days on the ocean are special, but every once in a awhile the stars and the moon and all the other elements align, and the ocean is magical. This is some of the footage we got in two consecutive day outings in June 2010. Hope you enjoy. All shots were done while breath hold diving. Great video! The sand tigers seemed very docile. Last time I dove NC I couldn't get that upclose to them.

Were you on SCUBA or freediving? If on SCUBA it could be that the bubbles make a lot of noise. These particular sharks see a lot of divers as well so that could be used to it. Sand Tigers are docile during the day as it is and ramp there activities up at night.

what type of sharks were they?, we have Mako and great whites, wouldnt wanna grab their tails ;)

@fishmadguy The sleeping shark was a nurse, the large free swimmers were Sand Tigers aka ragged tooth and there was a sneaky Sandbar in there as well.
