I like Michael Wong but I'm not a super fan so I don't know much about his history, but I had NO idea he knew Cantonese. I thought he didn't know how to speak Cantonese. This video surprised me!

Micheal is very fluent in Cantonese. I've heard him speak cantonese before. He's from Ipoh. Most chinese in Ipoh are fluent in Cantonese because that's the dialect of communication among chinese in Ipoh.

If youre speaking of the moments where they improvised the song, like janices part in the beginning, then yes, it doens't have to be an exact reproduction especially on end notes. But for hte others they don't sound off key. it was all pretty on key to me.
