This World of Warcraft guide focuses on healing and, yes, doing damage as a Discipline Priest in 5 man dungeons. Once you have good enough gear and are confident with your healing, it's time to optimize your dps! If the mobs die faster, you need to heal less, and you get through the dungeon faster. The faster the faster, as we say in Finland.

@SuperRobmat The UI consists of so many addons that have character specific settings that it'd take ages to sort through it all and get them into a nice package. But I can list the addons I'm using: BindPad for hotkeys, PitBull 4 for unit frames, Bartender 4 for action bars, Satrina's Buff Frames for buffs, Parrot for scrolling combat text, Power Auras for the small spell icons at the middle of the screen, TipTac for tooltips, Chinchilla for minimap and TitanPanel for the panel at the top.
