Most Australians remember the Tampa and Children Overboard but seem to have forgotten the SIEV X, the biggest maritime disaster in our region since World War 2.

  • It seems little has changed with our government even now...three years later. Although I love this country with all my heart, there are times when I wonder whether we are the democratic nation we profess to be, but surely we should be an empathetic and caring one if nothing else!!!

  • Where can I see this film? I live in the US, but I lost 14 members of my family in this tragedy. I am still searching for answers and would like to this..

  • I hope we can watch this film after the Howard Government's demise on November 24. Most likely none of them will be watching , but it's important for those of us who care about real democracy and compassion that this terrible event in our history is documented for future generations of Australians.

  • A deeply inspirational and humbling film about a woman with extraordinary strength, and who Australia should have been proud to welcome. This film is confronting in its presentation of tragedy compounded by dodgy government policy, but also represents one of many stories of resilience despite this.

  • How can John Howard et al sleep at night?? Amal's humour & strength are quite simply inspiring. This brilliant doco shines light on a very dark & disturbing aspect of contemporary Australia.

  • Thank you so much something we all need to remember

  • Such a moving story. It should be compulsory viewing for all Australians-to highlight the plight that refugees face in their search for freedom, and how our government treats them after all they've been through.

  • I saw this film at the Melbourne International Film Festival - touching, affecting and very relevant especially in the lead up to a federal election. It's the best documentary film this year!!! Well done
