Baby Fox

We were brought what we think is a baby fox. He was found in the road. The people who rescued him did try to find his mom but were unable. So they brought him to us not knowing what to do. The baby was turned over the the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida. It is never a good idea to try and raise a wild animal. Thank you to the good samaritans who saved this little guy.

We did not remove the fox from his location... He was brought to us by someone who thought they were doing the right thing. In my opinion they did, because he was in the road. We are experts in dealing with animals and would appreciate respectful comments. Thank you.

I have foxes on my property. I recently found 3 babies that were orphaned due to their mom being eaten by a pack of coyotes. I opted to intervene when I saw the three kits out of the den starving & desperate because mom never came home. I took them in, fed them special formula prescribed by a vet until they could eat raw minced chicken. After 2 weeks I turned them over to the Audubon Society for expert rehab into the wild in a remote area of my state. :)

If I see a baby animal on the road, I will take it home and care for it. If the government doesn't agree, they can die at the end of my shotgun barrel.
