I keep returning to this game to watch what I saw in 1972...now my 56 year old eyes are watering as they did 39 years ago. 'WHAT A GOAL...WHAT A GOAL' !! giant killing at it's best....the stuff of dreams.....years before football died of gluttony.

i've been looking for the 'rocket man' version of this since i saw it on TV years ago - good skills. Weird how motty knows it was a goal before it went in, no?

Absolute stunner! Love this goal and it's great to see him come out at every home FA cup fixture. Shame we aren't like this now, this season is turning out to be an epoc struggle for survival!! Ohh well, we will turn it around!! HUFCcasuals!!

I am in it! 10 years old and the best football moment of my life! I love HUFC!

It makes me cold all over every time I watch it, 4 years old and my Dad swears he sees me every time he watches it!

I love the way John Motson says 'That's it' as soon as Newcastle score. Clearly he was convinced that it was all over.

I was 11 when this happened, and I think it still rankles NUFC supporters over a certain age, having seem a lot of non league football over the years and seem the commitment of the players over the years you just wonder how much more marvellous the game would be if professionals always put the same level of endeavour into the came..

with the exception of the Goal steven Gerrard scored in the last minute of extra time against West ham in the 2005/2006 cup final, I think this game and goal of Ronni radfords is close to the best Fa cup goal of all time, not only for the strike, but from the team that were not favoured and not given a hope in hell of winning that game.
awesome game and I felt the atmosphere of the game just by watching the clip.
I feel sorry for those supporters who simply choose the best team in the world. Because if you supported your local team you have the best times of your life on the terraces with your dad or just with your mates and you would realise your local team is the best team in the world..... I am a season ticket holder and will be for the rest of my life. HEREFORD TID

As a Wolves fan, supporting my team in the greed league, I actually have to agree with you all. I love that Wolves are in the top league/division, but Football is exactly what we see in the video. It's not about money and big clubs and trips to Europe, it's about following your local club through thick and thin (4th division and back!) and living it on the terrace with your dad or mates as MrHufcFan says above.
