Here we start off with with a Southbound D & H freight with a ex Reading GP39 with a awesome Nathan M3, then we see the same train again at a different location, then once again further up Richmondville grade. He has quite the mixed bag of power, then we head to Lincoln Avenue in Albany and watch a Westbound and Eastbound Amtrak trains. Then we are down closer to Cohoes with a mix bag of 3 D&H units.

  • Let me guess, this is from 1988 during those six months when the D&H was owned by the Susquehanna. Awesome GP39-SD45-SD45-SD45-B40-8 lashup! Could've lived without the M3. However, 5 stars and favorited!

  • Why don't you like M horns ? I have a big collection of them !

  • Was this taken during the short time the NYSW owned the D&H? Also, how about some creative editing. I'm sure we could do without the 2 minute wait for a train to be seen., and maybe you could edit the trains length too. Otherwise interesting lash up's.

  • I love that M3 horn sounds like LIRR's old Alco C420 locomotives and the FA units. AMAZING

  • Classic FL9's and Old F40ph's these videos could have been in the 70's or mid 80's as well, I would assume that an FL9 with a 567C or 567D1 has been un rebuilt that how Amtrak had them into the 90's.
