This is the usual scene as Train 2Up and Train 26Up decouple at Johor Bahru Railway Station. Both trains will depart from Tanjung Pagar at 0740 Hours. They will be decoupled at Johor Bahru as Train 2Up is an express train stopping at major stations heading towards Butterworth, Penang while Train 26Up is a Local Mail stopping at every station heading towards Gua Musang, Kelantan. Train 2Up will depart first from Johor Bahru towards Kempas Baru while Train 26Up will depart abit later when Train 2Up has cleared from Kempas Baru Station. Spotted at Johor Bahru Railway Station on Monday, 16th November 2009.

  • In freight train, this proceudure names IN-TANDEM. The In-Tandem train is two long train which was combined into a super long-haul train. Example a MSM sugar train from Prai coupled with a PHS Bulk Cement Tanker Liner train to Singapore. The main factor is the progress of EDTP between Rawang and Ipoh. Now it was not available because the entire project area was completed in December 2007.

  • a bit confused -- what is 2Up means? I understand the 26Up is the 26 class loco at the right side, but don't see clearly the train at the left. Could it be the older type of loco?
