Ministerpräsident Horst Seehofer hat am 26. Juni 2009 zusammen mit seiner Frau Karin den Regierungsbezirk Oberfranken besucht. Begleitet wurde der Ministerpräsident von Wilhelm Wenning, Regierungspräsident von Oberfranken, und Melanie Huml, Staatssekretärin im Staatsministerium für Umwelt und Gesundheit.
An verschiedenen Stationen in Bamberg (Fränkischer Tag), Hirschaid (Grund- und Hauptschule), Speichersdorf (Traditionsunternehmen Rosenthal), Bad Alexandersbad (HelfRecht-Unternehmerzentrum), Wunsiedel (Landratsamt) und Luisenburg (Luisenburgfestspiele) informierte sich Seehofer über wichtige Themen wie Wirtschaft, Schule oder Kultur direkt vor Ort.
