Stephen Colbert mystery man with the Olympic torch

Stephen Colbert announced during his Feb. 12 show that he was leaving for Vancouver. Hello BC he is coming to run the torch into BC Place, first time the opening ceremony is held indoors'. Like a wrestling event, as a member of the US Olympic team, he will work on patriotism, their team is the best and will get the gold. Great for all the media from the world to broadcast such a challenge.

If Colbert had started a campaign to have his viewers write in and ask to let him light it, it would have certainly been a possibility. I've never seen ANY celebrity who can get his audience to do stuff like Colbert can.

He's got about 50,000 viewers who when he says jump, they say how high. How many did he get to vote to have the serenity node on the space station named after him? It was in the tens of thousands.
