@beramuz He was using an M97 .50 (12.5 mm) cal made by Barret. Your talking about the Barret M107 .50 Cal (12.5mm) a 50 mm would be the size of the rounds on a Minimi Gattling gun used on an Ac130 Gunship.

are you comparing the recoil of a bolt actionrifle to that of a semi-auto? because if you are you have it backwards.

and plus its a bolt action the way bolt actions are built theres just a considerably noticeable reduction in recoil either way.

so you have a $8,000 .50 cal? cause im sure that a gun of that quality is going to have a very nice recoil reduction system in it sorta like the new world record winchester x3 flanagan 12 gauge automatic shotgun that can fire 12 rounds in under like 3 seconds with like virtually no recoil. but as for the muzzle blast idk. hes in packed snow so thatd probably be why no snow came flying up.

it's actually a chey tac intervention in .408 which is a very large anti-personnel round not an anti-material round like the .50 BMG however it's also a movie and they're probably firing blanks which have lower recoil

Its not a .50 bro. Its a .408 Chey Tac round he is firing, the gun he is using is also a Chey Tac M200. ;)
