We have two very cute Polish Bantams and here they are helping (yeah right) me dig a hole looking for worms.

  • heey just wondering how old are those beautiful polish hens?

  • @TheBrookeee16 - Sorry I never knew how old they were.I got them when fully grown at a bird show in Ariege, France, and the breeder spoke with such a strong Ariegoise accent I didn't understand a word he said!

  • wish i could let mine out in my yard, even WITH supervision, theres a pair of cooper's hawks flying around the oaks around us that snatched a mutt-chick that escaped (i was gonna sell him anyways, but a sad way to go :[ ) The coopers hawks are so social, theyll snatch one right in front of you

  • @LaurenMinutes yep birds of prey are a worry, my girls usually spot them flying over and take cover under their house which is raised 3 foot off the ground. Given a chance to build the run again, I would put a netted roof over it. This would keep the magpies and crows from eating their food.
