Beautiful on so many levels. Those birds were so comfortable with you--animals know a good person when they see one. :)

and trust me.
I bring them nuts. I try never to go where they
forage empty handed because the poor
little guys come right up to me, stand up
and beg like little dogs.
If someone else comes by they run away.

If they see you a lot they recognize you.
If you're friendly and always speak pleasantly
to them they trust you - within limits.
I don't think they trust EVERY human, just those
who have proven they're not a threat.
Like the squirrels where i live.
They know me
