I love the song. It's beautiful, even if I did almost have a stroke singing soprano 1 on it, Just one complaint...the girls are overwhelming the men and our six men managed to hold their own against 30 girls so it can be done you know.
Nice job... my choir did this piece by Mr. Burtler last year.. This song has a tone of emotion within it and you guys in my opinion, didnt fill it out. The emotion is not just at the end but at the very begining of this song.. Also why the Soloist? This piece is and MONSTER a her voice wasnt stong enough to fill it out.... Good jod not an easy song
I was the bass section leader here in this clip,; I can tell you personally how difficult that rhythm was for everyone to get. This also wasn't our best performance of this, but we were really glad with the sound on the stage we were on. Ah, memories...
From what little I listened to this I have only one complaint and that is the vowel on the word "JUDGEMENT" in the beginning and a little throughout. You sound like your from hicktown on that word.
Oklahoma All State and ohers also have good performances of this piece on youtube.
The composer (Mark Butler) has a brand new arrangement of "Wade in the Water". It's pretty hot! But you'll need to have a good strong soloist with a pretty wide tessitura. His Kyrie is very nice as well. They can be heard on his publisher's web.
wooah... no guys this is a spiritual not a gospel piece. there is a difference.

Its a stylistic choice, adding the 'a' in the middle adds even more to the gospel choir feel. I don't prefer it either, but it's a purposeful sound :)

Still sucks. None of you have emotion or care enough to be in a Chamber choir.
