  • What kind of organ is this? A Hammond?

  • @Thedaanvo Yes, this is a HAMMOND Elegante with external Leslie.

  • Do you happen to recall the drawbar settings from 0:09 to 0:36 and 0:37 to 1:03 - or were these set-up with voice tabs and not drawbars?? Thank you.

  • Sorry, but I don't recall what drawbar settings I used. I trully arrange most of the songs as I play them. If I use the same drawbar settings each time I play, it's most likely by accident. I do work / change the drawbars a lot. I don't like to hear the same 'tone' all the way through a song. My Elegante is 100% factory orginal - I haven't made any modifications to the console. I do use some of the other voice tabs on some songs, but most tones are from the drawbars.

  • Great work! I love the fills and breaks. Technical point---The Elegante's tab layout looks similar to the Concorde on which I took lessons from Bob Creed in the 70's. Can you point out the differences? In the meantime, I'll just settle back with my aging H300 and wish I was 1/20th as good as you!

  • Hello from central Illinois: Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry, but it's been a while since I've sat at a Concorde keyboard, so I can't give you a correct answer to your question. I believe the Elegante has all of the Concordes features, with a lot added to make it the "Elegante". I've played on just about every Hammond organ they made - the "H" is a fine organ. I have a M3 with a 21H Lelsie - still going strong after all these years. Thanks again for the comments.

  • smooth tune!

  • @deancook652 Actually, the Concorde was the first completely Solid-State Hammond organ made. It was the first application of LSI (Large-Scale Integrated Circuit) technology for the whole organ. The X-66 was a partial application, with the basic sine waves still generated by a 12-wheel tonewheel generator located in the base.

    All the best!

  • I like the Elegante, but I wished that they would had some how keep the arpeggiator like on the previous model, the Hammond 2307 Concord

  • chulo

  • Interesting to hear someone enjoying life playing the same kind of organ I just purchased. Considering it's quite old ,its ingreat shape and sounds fine!!!

  • I have EVERY Lenny Dee LP and all the video's of Lenny playing his white Model A and B-3000 and the Lenny Dee video with Dennis Awe ! Met Lenny 3 times and seen all his shows LIVE ! I also customized my B3 as close to Lenny's model A as possible even delay echo and reiteration on top manual !

  • Hi ElegantePlayer......I'm in central Il too....and have an old M3 I'm about to have repaired. I took organ lessons for years as a kid, then forgot all about it all, but I play by ear.....just that my left hand is lazy.......organ seems easier to really practice on and enjoy than piano! Lovely music...and write back fellow Illinoisian!!!

    :-)

  • Bob, it's Theresa from Jeffersonville (American Red Cross volunteer). Just wanted to let you know that I checked out some of your posts. This one is my favorite. You are obviously very talented. I would love to stay in touch with you, but I'm not sure how to. I hope that you all had a safe trip home today.
