Todesbonden - Surrender to the Sea

This is a video I made, of the Todesbonden-song "Surrender to the Sea".
The Band just came out with their new Album "Sleep now, Quiet Forest" in June 22nd, 2008. I like that Album very much and thats why i wanted to make this Video here...
The Music is compareable to Nightwish, Tarja Turunen, After Forever, Leaves Eyes, Epica and such Bands. But it also is touched by medieval music types, like Loreena McKennitt, Elane.
The Singer, Laurie Ann Haus also appers in the Band Autumn Tears.

My Desperation starves me
each move a fighting chance to see
through veils of burning water
dark seas envelope me

breaking waves upon the sodden sand
holding me down as I reach
grasping for a quickly fading land
enshrouding me

push through a liquid sand dune
soft stones will bury me in sleep
echoes a distant savior
of shells and living things

painting the sky with silver
colors have faded slow in grey
touch down on distant waters
and you are touching me

bring the slow breath I bear
the one last man to see me though
this is a broken wave
to carry you...

@Moehre01 Although it makes perfect sense, I'm still surprised you also like Loreena McKennitt and Elane. It used to be those who listened to Metal listened only Metal. It's nice to see Metal has got a palate, and so do the fans.

@ccatdaddy64 I dont acrually limit myself saying I only listen to metal because I am a metal fan...the best things and songs you will find, if you walk through the world with eyes/ears wide open for everything. And since I am a musician myself, I listen to anything that inspires me. It doesn't neccessarily depend on the sound, rather on the emotion.

Love this song it is among my very favorite finds of all. Great band Great Music top notch performance and arrangements. Expressive and beautiful vocals. What else can you ask for? -seriously!.. song will appear in my blog soon!
