When you're too lazy to remove malware the right way there is combofix. Combofix is not for those afraid of taking a risk. You run the very real chance of not booting on your next reboot. You have been warned...:P

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The google redirect virus that was plaguing my life for the past week is now GONE!! :) Nothing else worked. I am beyond a novice so I was pretty sceptical running it by myself but you pretty much made it a piece of cake.

    1.download from a reputable site

    2.rename.

3.disable current antivirus (that has proven to be whimping in comparision to Combofix)

    4. run.

    5. SAVE YOUR COMPUTER:)Thanks you so much.

ps. you are not 'boring' you're freakin hilarious if u ask me lol

  • Combofix now supports Windows XP/Vista/7 32bit/64bit. :)

  • When I had this virus, combofix completely removed the rogue and malwarebytes' found the last bit and cleaned it off. I haven't used my computer since, since IE kept saying that I would "exit a secure internet connection......" oh well.

Also, I have windows vista and the cursor constantly has the circle thingy by it, like it's loading something. There is no virus. Info?

  • @meview93 What site did you download Combofix from? Thanks!

  • @WriterBren i dont know for sure maybe message MRIZOS and ask him he better at me in the vmware thing

  • your awesome man. thanks. you've helped alot of ppl and dont even realize it :)

  • @2402ct1 Well, I had actually continued with it and my computer still works.....yes, the Ad-Aware is free, I had help from a relative who is very risk-taking, and we just went with it because the feature was turned off anyway..... I think it may have done SOME damage because IE says that I will be exiting a secure internet connection, but I'm going to update my windows sometime.... thank you for the help. :)

  • @2402ct1 If the Ad-Aware is free then you should uninstall it and reinstall it later when combofix is done. You should not continue anyway. It would be very dangerous if Combofix has warned you.

  • @malwarebegone1 I help the blind and visually impaired community with computer issues. There is someone having trouble and I need to get in to their bios to have them change a setting. Unfortunately their screen reading software will not work in the bios. I am across the country. Will VMware allow me to remotely use their bios? I use teamviewer for other things.

  • Wow if your earning a living & don't even know what Combofix does, come on ! You describe yourself as a IT pro. Well let me give u a shocking stat, most people on here, including myself are just home pc users. We are not as f...... daft as u !!!!

  • Combofix wants me to disable ad-aware live, it comes with my antivirus. It isn't on, but should I continue or un-install the antivirus? Someone help me, I've been seeking help for twelve hours.... -_-
