This is a pretty interesting mode, you get to fight all the viruses of the classic mode, but with the magic of your pointer. You press A or B to grab with your pointer, and the other one you're not pressing to rotate...which is admittedly as clunky as it sounds when it comes to pure rotation action, but the real draw here is in the drag. It's a pretty neat twist to the old formula.
Basically anything that's falling is falling slowly, because you can drag anything in free fall any direction but up...so this includes the dropping pill pieces when you break some medicine in half that's not immediately resting on something else. A chain reaction clear doesn't even end until all the pieces settle, so you can do some pretty wild runaway scores in this thing, so it's definitely not something for the super-serious medical masterminds.
An interesting note is that I didn't realize until I was messing around here that you could get your doctor to give their opinion on the medical mystery as it progressed, so now I know where to go if I need a second opinion.
It's just a shame I don't have any cohorts to show off the local multiplayer with, because you can have four doctors in on a consult dragging pills and pill pieces around.

I tried the 4-player mode. My friends and I basically just screwed around and made a mess. Still, it's fun. This is one of the best WiiWare games.
