50 years to the day after signing the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams both died a couple of hours apart. On the 4th of July, Charles Kuralt also died on the 4th of July.
Excuse the quality. This was taken off a VHS tape made a long time ago by a very old VCR.

  • Charles also passed on the 4th of july, amazing.

  • Sadly, Jefferson would not have been on the side of black civil rights leaders.

  • The "Fourth of July" he died & so did you : Old Friend, American! Through & Through. R.I.P. Charles. Perhaps I will see you again>

  • Would that Jefferson was President today...We would not be in the economical difficulty we are today .

  • I think this is one of the very best of Charles Kurault's "On the Road" pieces. Thanks for posting it.
