@BrooklynOmerta Funny. OF course he didn't sing during the song that wouldn't make sense if they're already lip-synching. It was after Don interviewed them. He wanted to know if they really sounded like the record and they broke out and hit the last part of the song where El goes ballistic. The person who posted this vid caught it off before the interview.

@hoodhoseforever Oh, and just a heads up. I went ahead and watched this video again till the very end and there isnt a time whatsoever where El is singing live. There is no break,cut, nothing. They were lip syncing their music which is perfectly fine, especially for the times. But let me guess, the part where its "live" for the audience that you speak of just so happens to NOT have been caught on video (because it isnt here) & YOU have some "inside knowledge" or were there? Right? lol

@hoodhoseforever I know. I produce and arrange music (mixing,mastering,etc). I stay in the studio. But thanx for your imput. Also, I never suggested they couldnt sing live, ever. Not once. Never suggested they werent talented either, not once. If I had enough charactors I would copy/paste what I originally said so that you could yanno, re-read it. @BrooklynOmerta It is very difficult but Prince, Michael Jackson and The Debarges were among the few artists or groups who could really do this well. Long before autotone/auto pitch software that assists most 'stars' today on stage while singing live. This appearance on Soul Train they were put on the spot and sang the last part of this song live for the audience and El hit all the notes-the family was just talented period.
