The title itself, Before Sunset differs from Before Sunrise. During the day we are awake experiencing realism. During the night we experience our dreams and the magic. There is a certain intrigue in between the sun's slumber and it's rise - in that it continues long before we stop to exist. The love is as eternal in the mind and in the heart, as it ever will be in the physical sense. The first movie was a dream the second movie was a reality. The Waltz is the only thing that connects

This is vying for the top spot in my top 100 favourite movies. Absolutely adore this film.

Look at all the true facts their characters were based on -- Delpy really is from Paris and Hawke really is from Texas; in real life she is a Sag and he is a Scorp, as she casually mentioned; she really learned guitar a few years before this movie; and he really did get married, write a novel, and have a son [and a daughter] after Before Sunrise but before the sequel.
Here's where it gets interesting ... he got divorced the year this movie came out. What is he trying to tell us...?
