Today the women of Bhopal organised a luncheon outside the gates of the Union Carbide plant in Bhopal. They invited the senior officials of the Madyar Pradesh state government to come and eat some toxic food.
This is in response to comments made by the Director of Defence Research Development Establishment (DRDE) of Gualior..The director, Dr Vijay Raghavan, stated that a person weighing 70 kgs could easily eat 200 grammes of semi processed pesticides and 100 grammes of Sevin tar without causing death or other harm to the body!
Plates of the toxic soil were elegantly laid out on the ground before the gates of the UC factory in the hope that the invited state officials might show...Needless to say, they did not turn up.
