Low rough idle running rich SOLVED

FIXED: It was the map sensor. the wires were barely wrapped and it was not getting a good connection

black smoke. b18c1 running very rich and rough. idle is low. and when i rev it, it is still as rough as idle. a lot of gas is getting pumped into the engine, and i have no idea why. i was messing with the TB before this happened.

info on the engine:
--b18c1
--stock TB, intake mani, fuel rail, sensors besides the 3 bar map
--Holley FPR
--450cc dsm injectors
--chipped ECU on crome

any info would be great

i have a 2000 gsr, same exact thing is happening. I changed out injectors, fuel regulator, distributor, map sensor and the map sensor plug, even clean out my iacv. and It doesn't solve a thing, didn't think it was my wires or spark plug cause i had just bought new spark plugs, then again its bosch, did a spark test and no spark. Did all that change just to find out the bosch spark plug went bad in a week. Same symptom as yours

lower your fuel pressure u fool ur @60 at idle should be there orA lil more at WOT!!!!! ps i know this video is old,had to give my input tho;P*- JRSC built b18c eg6 10 lbs daily!!

its your idle control valve it just needs adjusted

My car did the same exact thing(94 h23a1 prelude) take out the spark plugs check if one of them look kind of gashed ... let me know if that was it if it isnt you might wanna check the spark plugs or the head to make sure iys not fludded with oil!

i had the same prob.i replaced my headgasket and the prob whas gone. but it also might be be the spark plugs or vacume leak

got the same setup as you sort of ,and it throws way more black smoke than yours what do you think it could be ??? it throws just as much smoke as my straight piped f-250 lol

it looks like spark plugs are not burning in order or one might be bad
