FYI. You called your flat head screw driver a phillips head twice. It's kind of mundane but still.

hy i hav a problem in my keyboarded tht is sometime it stops working BUT everythings works except for the keyboard so after hard restarting it works and again after a hour or so it stops again...
PLEASE HELP!!

can someone send me a link to this part? i have this exact 17 inch mac. my "i" key came off and my dad put it back in but it kinda sticks. i would like to just replace the whole keyboard, and click pad. the click pad is broken. thanks!

You may just need to replace the keyboard or top case. If everything else works, there is a good chance your logic board is fine.
