The Short 707 had a personality all of its own. If you look at the inboard trailing edge flap arrangement, barring a slightly different layout and smaller wing area--they are the same as on the "Intercontinental" -320 (non-fan) and -420 Conway series. Most noteworthy is the split flap near the wing root. Actually, the 720 was like that too. It was the -320B/C that had a totally reworked wing trailing edge.

That click you hear in the video every few seconds is the ground radar zapping the camera. I hear the same click when I wear a radio head set while driving my truck on the Airfield at LAX.

Another nice video of the 707. And yeah it does look short and stubby. Almost like a 737 with twice the engines lol.
