Do you think that President Obama needed to retake his oath of office after Chief Justice John Roberts flubbed it? Did they let bloggers affect their actions? Watch NPR's Scott Simon and Juan Williams flub their own oath, talk about what may have driven the decision, and discuss the lip-synched music played by Yo Yo Ma. And please send us your thoughts, too!
past presidents who have taken the oath of office on a void of course moon have either been impreached or shot.. could this this been the reason for the fluff? just a thought.

Watching on the tv it was not immediately clear to me that it was the chief justice who had erred. I can imagine someone accusing President Obama of not wishing to declare that he would defend The Constitution. Within a minute of the error I wondered if the chief justice had made this mistake intentionally to muddy the historical account of the inauguration to allow for the sake of mischief....

In the Harry Potter movie, The Sorcerer's stone, the magic spell "Wingardium Levi-ousa" would not work for Ron because he kept saying the second part as "Leviyosa".
That happens in the world of magic.
In our own, completely un-magical world, such mistakes, and even more, don't make ANY difference. Neither did Obama's little oath-taking mix-up. But he had to think of those hyenas who would have otherwise kept jumping up and down for the next 4 years howling that he wasn't really President.
