Yeah, heaven forbid people have fun when they're diving, it's very serious business.

@Zillerz3 60m? and sharing an octo?? really??
-
Silly video - but they were having fun!!! If you think they were damaging the bottom, don't jetty dive - the surge pushes you all over the place but honestly we do a lot less damage than the waves themselves and all the anchors that get dropped.

@asemoknyo Agreed, as in, you can hold your breath if you descend, and you could ascend to the same depth as you started, not that they teach this, the idea is to keep it simple so people don't make mistakes.
So say....10m >>> holding breath >>> 20m >>> holding breath >>> 10m, won't cause an increase in lung size, only a decrease. Just remember your starting depth :)

@iownudie108 bit salty. When I was scuba diving in the carrebian, my oxygen tank went out of air so i had to use my friends extra breathing thing forget what it was called (octopus or someshit? lol) cool experience but wouldnt wana experience it alone at depth of 60m

protect the enviroment and do NOT touch the bottom

@betochperu Touching the bottom is okay depending on the substrate. If it's on a sandy bottom which regularly gets resculpted (for example, the area in this video is off a surf beach where the bottom changes from day to day) that is okay since the ecosystem is used to high disturbance. Stomp all over say, a rocky bottom or coral reef and THEN you are doing damage.

if your not careful you will get the benze which is a fatal disease
danman3150 1 year ago
@danman3150 First of all, you mean the "bends", not benze. Second, it's not fatal most of the time. Third, you probably were talking about lung overexpansion injury which can result from holding your breath, the bends is a totally different thing (but which often happens at the same time as lung injury due to a rapid ascent). If you know how pressure changes underwater work, it is very easy to avoid injuring yourself whilst holding your breath.
