The Casse du Boeuf is a Black Run that runs down to the village of Villeneuve. This run took place in mid jan 2009. The low sun made the light very flat in places and may account for the absence of other skiers

  • go up the Casse du Boeuf lift to see condition of run first - it can be a bit bare on the top S bend. The light was terrible on my run and it was good that I knew where the 3 steep pitches are. It is not a tough black, but it is a good black - and on a good day it is ' better than sex, but more tiring!'. Bonne Chance

  • @alextlbass You should try "les arcs 2000"

It has a very hard black run when it's not flat and you can go in the speed ski run

  • its a red a best/

  • This run got incredibly icy while i was skiing here...

  • Piste noire assez facile à mon avis...

  • Great place, but it was a VERY easy black to be honest. America is sooooo much better for skiing though. Just to say that I do live in England so I'm not being bias.

  • well cuz some bits can be sorta steep but remember on camera it never looks as steep as it is either, its a fun one tho did this one 5 times in a row once lol cuz we were racing

  • yeh i went on this after it snowed all night and it was so fun with all the mogals instead of it being so flat usually

  • I went on this about a week ago. Brilliant. I didn't like how the texture of the snow changed every 20 meters though.w

  • Try to run down this slope at the end of april... it's amazing, there is stones everywhere, and sometimes you have only a one-meter corridor of snow in the grass! =D
