@Golfpro411 I think he is very wide on the downswing, if you take in the slight lateral move to the left...plot his hand path relative to the grid. Wide to wide, baby!

look how he narrows on the downswing and has a lot more width on the backswing makes him generate a lot of power when he shifts his weight and clears his hips

Not sure if Davis Love III took lessons from other instructors other than his dad, Davis Love Jr. I am sure his dad had others look at him and offer ideas. I feel if his dad had lived Davis would have been one of the all time greats ! Carl Welty

I think Davis was trained by his father to play golf like Jack Nicklaus, tee to green ! Today's golf is pitch and putt on super great conditions, not Davis's strength. Carl Welty

I had asked him to max it out, par 5 full power ! Then I asked him how he would swing on the first hole tomorrow and the speed was 117 mph. The same with Fred Couples max 123 mph crusing speed 115 mph. Greg Norman max 121 mph crusing speed 121 mph ! Carl Welty
